Two formerly corporate connected people ready to do something more rewarding with their lives decided to open a yoga studio because they loved doing yoga. When we approach life with Sri Sri Yoga, we have this sense of perfect balance. The story of Perfect Balance Yoga studio our award winning yoga studio begins over 15 years ago. With this steadiness come happiness, good health and success in life with stress finding no place in our body, mind or emotions The perfect balance of relaxation, half Yin and half Yoga Nidra. We will be invariably stretched in our day to day dealings. Off the mat, Sri Sri Yoga prepares us for life’s situations. We begin to shed our self doubts, and build our self confidence in the knowledge that after all, this is our very nature. The physical body stretches in asanas and very playfully our set mindsets also get cajoled in overcoming our limits. We are graceful, sensitive and a surrounded by sense of love. We bend and reach for that graceful posture, quietly knowing that we are actually that. This is what Iyengar calls the Art of Precision, the perfect balance. In our stretches, our feet are firmly planted on the ground. His approach to yoga emphasizes the development of inner strength and stamina. On the mat, our practices prepare us to achieve a longer duration of this perfect state of being. Steadiness, Ease and Poise, on and off our practice mat In Yoga this is called – ‘Stirum, Sukam Assanam’. This sense of Perfect Balance we enjoyed comes with a Steadiness, an Ease and Graceful Poise. We have now started to listen to our body, mind and our surroundings and not just only to our previously, chattering mind. We are more total and is fully cognizant of our own mind, body and surroundings. ![]() We are all emerged fully energized, smiling and cloaked in a heighten sense of awareness. We break out in a healthy sweat and more importantly we are rested in a calm mind. ![]() With only 3 short days of practice we all have savored the gentle yet invigorating work out. We have begun to experience an overall sense of improving wellness together as a class. An example of this is she always allowing me to email her with any issues, concerns or additional progressions and regressions in-between appointments.Another major point I have taken away from our sessions is the advice and education Claire has given me in every session she would tell me the reason behind everything and would do linking to both the major muscle groups and the more intrinsic muscles.Claire also helped explain her clinical reasoning to my daughter who is an aspiring physiotherapist in her second year of study at university.In summing up Claire has been fantastic her sessions have truly improved my quality of life and I am able to continue with everyday life with minimal pain and almost full range of movement.The practice of Sri Sri Yoga, helps us achieve a healthy physical body, a sharp incisive mind and vibrant health. ![]() She was able to motivate me and explain how each exercise would contribute to functional tasks and every time offered to video the new exercises in each session so I could see how they should be done.She also showed me regression and progressions of my exercises not only from her own exercise plan she made for me, but also from my NHS physio, she truly went above and beyond on multiple different occasions. ![]() Claire has been brilliant at setting goals specific to me and that would challenge me. For example, I am now able to lift my arm to put on my deodorant (which I was not able to do before). From my first appointment she has been very thorough, she went through my entire medical history with me and explained in detail how she is planning my programme according to that and the reasoning behind why and how it is different to the ‘standard program’.I am back to 90% full range of movement and am now able to complete everyday tasks with ease. This course of physiotherapy by Claire has impacted my everyday life massively.
